Montrose Beach EngagementSharon & JohnChicago

After a few weeks of almost non-stop rain and heavy cloud cover, I was resigned to the fact that we would be shooting this session in gloomy conditions. And, in fact, the session did start off overcast and a bit breezy. It was the kind of weather that could turn into a downpour, especially in Chicago… but, in what I’m taking a great omen for Sharon and John’s wedding, the sun came out full-force at the end of the session, and covered everything in an incredible orange haze. It was so dramatic that I think I might have audibly gasped when I saw it.

Since these guys will be married in just a few weeks at the awesome Pleasant Home in Oak Park, I’m going to put my theory of a positive sign to the test. I’m expecting nothing but the best of days. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’d also like to thank Sharon and John for doing a little rabbit-sighting with me (did I mention that they have a little bunny of their own?!), and willingly exploring the off-the-path areas of Montrose with me.
