Sometimes, as a wedding photographer, you get lucky enough to be invited into a family. You are asked to shoot the weddings of several siblings, or reoccurring family portraits, and you are able to see the progression of what it means to be a family. It’s a remarkable thing; I love my extended families and cannot get enough of photographing them.

Liz and Russ are part of one of my families, and let me tell you, I had been looking forward to this wedding for ages.

If the promise of a stunning Chicago Cultural Center wedding wasn’t enough (oh, that classic architecture – love!), Liz and Russ are one of those couples that are so at ease with each other. They absolutely light up when they are together… proof of which can be seen in their first look. And, of course, knowing some of the family, I was hoping for a good dance party to photograph. As is obvious from the photos, it was a great dance party.
