Rachael & Brett

This was such a fun summer wedding!

After their church ceremony, Rachael & Brett included some southern traditions including a second line and a cake pull (where single ladies learn a promise of their future based on the charm they pull from the cake). As a Chicago and Nashville photographer, these are things that I normally don’t get to photograph…. but kind of wish I could at every wedding.

And even though I thought nothing was going to beat the second line, possibly my favorite part of the day was Rachael & Brett’s epic first dance… check out the photos below, and you’ll see what I mean!

This was also my first time at Elawa Farm. It’s no secret that I love barn weddings, and Elawa Farm is such a unique venue – their outdoor patio with the string lights is the most gorgeous dinner spot, and unlike anything else I’ve seen in the Chicagoland area.
