As a wedding photographer, when you have a Salvage One wedding on the calendar, you get really excited about photographing at the venue. It’s such a great space – it has several levels full of vintage furniture, a gorgeous outdoor space, and a beautiful bridal area – it’s just one of those rare spots that has it all. But, Lei & Chris brought that excitement a whole new level… I alternated between being excited for Salvage One, being excited to photograph them, and finally settled on being excited to photograph them IN Salvage One.
Let’s just say there was a lot of excitement going on.
Lei & Chris are artistic, beer-loving, and just all-around fun people (we have played jumbo Jenga together, so I feel qualified to say this with authority.) They also have bunnies. I have yet to meet rabbit owners that aren’t completely awesome.

Anyway, they truly wanted their day to be the celebration of the year. And all their planning paid off – it was a day filled with happy tears, lots of laughter, the BEST first look, a packed dance floor, and a little bit of Star Wars. To top it off, most of the details were designed and/or made by them, including the bridesmaid’s necklaces, and the “guestbook.” I had heard about many of these projects throughout the planning stages, and they turned out even more amazing than I could have imagined.
When you’re surrounded by that much emotion and artfulness, it’s hard not to get inspired. One of my favorite images ever was created that night – make sure you scroll to the end to see it!
Lastly, thanks to all the vendors that helped make the day amazing. It was truly a dream team. Make sure to check out the credits at the end of the post if you’re planning your own wedding. I highly recommend them all!
