Wedding :: Danyelle & Rob

It’s always so fun to see what personalized touches my brides and grooms incorporate into their weddings. The quirky little off-the-wall things make me smile because, so often, those are the things that have a deep secret meaning in a relationship. For instance, at my own wedding, one of my favorite things that we did was to have our first dance to Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” since it was unofficially officially our song since high school (I can honestly say, I’ve never met anyone else who had their first dance to a Metallica song).

Some of my favorite details and happenings at Danyelle & Rob’s wedding were:

  • The incorporation of cross country throughout the day (their coach married them, their table numbers were race numbers important to them, and their place card table even had a custom made start sign).
  • Danyelle’s first look with her dad. It was adorable.
  • The techno dance party (complete with glo-sticks!) that the reception turned into, because, well, that was just a good party.

I should have known, of course, that Danyelle would have thought of everything, though, since she’s a teacher. Teachers always have those things covered!

Also a fun little fact: I found out after delivering the photos that there were several party crashers at the reception. I’m a little curious if they made the blog now!

People that helped make the day great:

Ceremony: Bird Haven Greenhouse
Reception: Carriage Greens Country Club
Catering: Carriage Greens Country Club
Florist: Darlene @ DLN Floral
DJ: Rich Bednara @ Essence Entertainment
Limo: Windy City Limo
