Janice and Ben will forever been known to me as those crazy people who risked their life for an awesome shot by climbing on a rusty, rickety, 15-foot high ledge during their engagement session.
If that doesn’t tell you that they are made of awesomeness, I have one more story for you… The forecast for the day of their wedding was nothing but rain and heavy clouds. While I knew we’d make it work, the weather really saddened both Janice and I because they had such a great outside space at Byron Colby Barn for their photos (in fact, Janice later told me that photos around the venue were one of the things she most envisioned having from her wedding day), and the chances of spending time outside was pretty slim. It literally rained until we needed to take photos… and then, it magically cleared up. With only a few clouds, we shot all the photos we were planning, without a hitch. Even more impressive, just as we were finishing up, a rainbow appeared in the sky, seemingly blessing the day.
Not that these two need great stories to be memorable, because they’re unforgettable on their own, but I love that everywhere they go, great things seem to happen!
