Wedding :: Kris & Ralph

Even though this wedding was planned from afar, there was no shortage of personal touches. Kris’ veil was made from her mom and grandmother’s veil. Ralph’s dad’s band played during the reception. The walls were covered in old family photos. The list goes on and on. Those little touches that make a wedding personal are my favorite because they make the wedding about the journey, and not just about the single day.

And speaking of favorites, in the months before the wedding, seeing Kris’ emails in my inbox was one of my favorite things in life. I got to know Kris quite a bit through email before her wedding (she’s from Nashville), and I heard many a story about her and Ralph, so I feel qualified to say that Kris and Ralph might be the sweetest people alive, combined with the funniest. Basically, they have hearts of gold, with a sense of humor to match.

Aside from the heartfelt planning, and the utterly wonderful bride and groom, I was also in love with the vendors involved with the day. Karolina Warren from Weddings By Karolina is always a joy to work with, and kept the day running smoothly, Robert Cawthorne worked his videography magic, and, although I don’t think I tasted it, the cake was from Oak Mill Bakery, whom I think is scrumptious.

All in all, it was an honor to photograph Kris & Ralph’s wedding extravaganza!
