Whitney and Mike were two of the happiest people I’ve ever photographed on a wedding day. You can see, even in their getting ready pictures, that they were all smiles, despite most people being nervous and stressed before the ceremony. Any tears shed were tears of happiness as they opened their gifts to each other (how cute is the sweatshirt that Whitney got Mike?).
They are not only people that are full of smiles, but they are risk takers. The day was threatening to rain, and the ground was muddy from overnight rains… but they made the call to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony and also went ahead with their first look and outdoor portraits. I was internally freaking out over Whitney’s white dress in the mud before the ceremony, but it all turned out okay. Whitney even climbed a wall. See? Daredevil.
Oh, and to answer a question I get asked often, Armour House is now my favorite wedding venue. In the months leading up to Whitney & Mike’s wedding, I referred to it as Mr. Darcy’s place (from Pride & Prejudice, obviously). I wasn’t far off, was I?
Now, grab a bowl of popcorn or a cup of coffee… this is a long post, but I dare you to look through these pictures without smiling along with the bride and groom.
